This Gender is part of Yayasan Suara Danas program of teaching the traditional music in Bali.
Gender consists of two or four bronze metallophones with ten bars each, struck with two disc headed wooden mallets, and muted with the heals of the hands
The Gender in Yayasan Suara Dana consists of 4 musicians.
The scale of Gender Wayang has five pitches per octave and is Slendro.
